Health Care Assistant jobs
Health care assistants help people with daily living: bathing, dressing, eating and moving safely, and they notice the changes worth telling the nurse about.
What a Health Care Assistant needs to join
- Your BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry number, if you are listed.
- Photos of your licence or certificate and your ID, from your phone. You can add them after you join.

How a Health Care Assistant licence is checked today
Today we check licences on BC regulators' public registers.
Who licenses it in BC
No regulatory college in BC
Health care assistants have no regulatory college in BC. They are listed on the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry, which is a registry rather than a college, so employers check registry standing themselves.
We record the registry number you give and say that it came from you. The employer confirms your registry standing.

Where your role has a public register, Webrij administrators look your licence up there. They also check your work eligibility and record the date and the outcome.
