How a Medical Laboratory Assistant licence is checked today

Today we check licences on BC regulators' public registers.

Who licenses it in BC

No regulatory college in BC

Medical laboratory assistants have no regulatory college in BC. Certification is voluntary, through the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or the BC Society of Laboratory Science, and many employers ask for it.

There is no BC public register to search for this role, so your profile says so plainly and the employer checks your certificate with you.
